I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for a place like Leopold's, but I also want to provide an honest review. So here goes. My wife and I came to Leopold's (in Tybee) a few days ago to have some hot cocoa. We were both pretty disappointed with it. We saw the girl make it and it looked like she just used chocolate syrup and milk. Regardless of what was in it, it was a VERY weak chocolate taste. In addition, the serving was in a cup smaller than I expected for a $6 drink. Honestly, it tasted like lightly chocolate-flavored water. We often buy the small pouches of Swiss Miss dark chocolate (that you can make with water) and those taste 10x better than what we had. You have to do better than this. I feel ripped off paying $6 for hot cocoa that barely had a chocolate taste to it. We expected much better given your reputation for ice cream. You need to either radically change your hot cocoa recipe or drop it from your menu. This is a disservice to your customers. But on a positive note, we did enjoy the ice cream. The Rum Bisque was very good. I could taste the rum in it.

Loved this place. Went to all 3 locations: downtown, Whitemarsh Island, and the SAV airport. The Whitemarsh location had the full ice cream selection and no wait. Highly recommend the pistachio, honey almond, girl scout thin mints. Did sample the Tutti Frutti that is so highly recommended. I did enjoy it, but thought a full serving might be too much, and enjoyed other flavors better. The pistachio is my favorite and the best I have ever tasted. It does have a lot of chunks of pistachios, so if you do not like the chew, then it's not the flavor for you.

Stopped by Leopold’s Ice Cream in Savannah and tried the Savannah Socialite. It was incredible. The blend of milk and dark chocolate ice cream was rich and smooth, with perfectly roasted Georgia pecans and a swirl of bourbon caramel that added the perfect depth of flavor. Every bite tasted fresh and indulgent. Definitely a must-try if you’re visiting Savannah and love chocolate.

Trust me - make the drive and avoid the crowds. Only about 12-15 minutes from downtown Savannah. The staff was friendly and the ice cream was delightful. The tutti-fruity was AMAZING!.

What a great destination place for those with an addiction to ice cream like I do. The staff is outstanding, warm and friendly. I wouldn't want to arm wrestle any of tgem...lol! Ice cream is superb. The flavors are true to theie names. I'm addicted to chocolate banana malts. Highly recommended it.
